15th LE's Review - Animal Madness

I know that it is no longer a fact that I am totally in love with animal prints, especially the ones that were inspired by feline species, and when the newest collection of LE was out, I was like squeaking in delight and  excitement to see such prints were implied in the whole collection. It was like a box of surprise, exploded with animal prints everywhere once it is opened.

There were on shoes, on clothes, on handbags, on everything! And speaking of boxes, the prints were even on the boxes, how cute! Oh god what's not to love, right?

I know that I shouldn't be "that" excited, but quite interestingly, just a day before, I was imagining of having leopard printed pumps for my medoll, and unexpectedly today not only a pair of pumps were released, there were more than a pair to choose from! That's why I was like in shock of excitement to see those prints everywhere in the collection, it's like Stardoll somehow listen to my fashion prayer, and it is somewhat creepy. Hmm.

Anyway, moving on to the store, like we all knew, the store was out unexpectedly without spoilers and everything. However lucky me, I was ready for LE and managed to save up some stardollars prior to the release of it as I am one of those users who believe in the theory of "LE will be out after Gift-O-Meter" thingy in Stardoll. So when the Gift-O-Meter was out around two weeks ago, I just have this feeling in my gut that LE will be out soon, and indeed it came out true. So dollies, take this tips for future usage, it's very useful next time in predicting when LE's gonna out, although it is not always true :)

pictures' source

For me, the collection can be considered as a good one compared to the previous collection, and although there are few things that I think are not really fulfilling the LE standard, they are at least not so disastrous and still acceptable.

Again, I always wish that Stardoll would keep the original designs like shown in the runway and not destroying the pieces by making one piece into two, or adding whatnots addition to make it somewhat cohesive. The choice of colours are kinda okay this time, eventhough I can still see few annoyingly neons here and there.

So here are the things that I bought from the store, although I might be buying couple things more if they were still in stock, like the Moto Jacket and the Heart Platforms. The numerals in the picture are my Top 5 favourite pieces from the whole collection, and I also had made a bit stylings for the items just for the sake of getting some idea of what kind of outfits I gonna incorporate them with.

So yeah, my Top 5 items are:
1 - Steampunk Platforms - 40$
2 - Leopard Print Mules - 50$
3 - Leopard Crossbody Satchel - 55$
4 - Limited Edition Sweatshirt - 55$
5 -  LE Glitter Denim - 55$

I really love those shoes that I bought from this collection, and although the Steampunk Platforms was not really in many users' cup of tea, I ranked the platforms higher than the others because I just love them! The shoes are unique and one of a kind in Stardoll, and I can predict many edgy users in Stardoll will find great use in them!

So overall, I think this collection is pretty good and decent, although I do still find it a bit hard to incorporate in outfits...well maybe that was just me. Anyway, I think Stardoll is really has been listening to users especially toward the quality of LE as I could see some progression in it, although it's not really that much. But still, its the efforts that count, right?

So, what's better to end this post than by posting LE look, no? So by that, I end this post by showing the photo of me wearing the latest (and hardest to style) LE. In this outfit I am trying to achieve feminine tropical look with tribal infusion, so I matched the top with sarong with complimentary colours and pattern, paired with pink accessories to complete the look.

Till the next post, dollies.

Dramas with the scarf

Finally my most awaited piece from this month Hotbuys collection arrive a couple of days ago. I've gotta say this month's Hotbuys are kinda okay, there are not so many mediocre pieces like couple ones before, but unfortunately the prices are still ridiculously high.

Like other normal, economically wise (and cheap person haha) dollies in Stardoll, I put the drape scarf first in my monthly MUST-BUY-HBs list. There are lot of things I can do with the scarf, it is edgy and I always love drapery things as they have this kinda couture-esque feel to it. And when the scarf was released, I am so satisfied with it. Stardoll did amazing job with the details of the scarf, this piece is absolutely amazing and very well-made.

So here's how I style the scarf, and forgive me for couldn't resist myself from feeling dramatic by being a bit "dark" with maleficent hairdo. What to do, it's just one of those days when I am feeling dramatic on Stardoll.

I'm wearing:
Hot Buys Drape Scarf - Fallen Angel
Long black dress - SATC
Headband - Fallen Angel
Necklace - LE
Accessories - Fallen Angel
Ring - Epiphany

Till next post, dollies.

Accessories.

When it comes to creating an awesome outfit, accessorizing is always the key.

As a person who loves collecting accessories in both Stardoll and real life, I have to say that accessories play such an important role in ones' outfits, as it defines who you are based on the way of how you style your medoll. Each of us is different, and different people has different style.

Therefore, in this post I'd like to share few style that I usually do to my doll.

1. Floral Wreaths

1.6.7 - Pretty In Love | 2.3 - Bonjour Bizou | 4.5 - Jean Paul Gaultier

Thanks to Lana Del Rey, floral wreaths are so popular nowadays. What I like about these wreaths are the fact that they are like "fairies' crowns" and it is fun in a not very princess-y way, plus by looking at it they definitely bring the feminine and angelic side of you out.

There are various type of floral wreaths in Stardoll, you can choose to buy the already made ones in Starplaza or you can choose to make it on your own, which is much fun and cooler! I used to make one [see pic below] before after getting inspired by this amazing post in this amazing blog, and trust me, the result is very satisfying. You should try it too, it is so much fun, and super easy too!

2. Studs and spikes

1. LE | 2.8 - Special Offer | 3. Nicholas Kirkwood | 4. Mortal Kiss | 5.6 - Fallen Angel | 7. Bonjour Bizou

These amazing items are used to be stereotyped to belong to only Gothic people, but hello, that doesn't mean by wearing that immediately will make you goths and whatnots. It's fashion, people, like duhh. Studs and spikes will bring the inner rocker chic out, like you are pretty but dangerous and rebellious at the same time...kinda like roses with thorns, they are pretty but dangerous. What I like about these items are they are mysterious, they adds drama to ones outfit and they are very easy to pull off too, with smoky eyed makeup and dark lipstick you're so ready to go.

For those who wanna be edgy but still wanna be girly, I truly recommend this. Adding here and there spikes won't hurt, don't worry ;)

3. Gold, gold, gold

1. Riviera | 2.4 - Bonjour Bizou | 3. Chanel | 5. LE | 6. MSW | 7. Lanvin's | 8.10 - Voile | 9. Decades | 11. Special Offer | 12. Archive
I think this one is very easy one for you. Overflowing of golds everywhere from head to toe can make you look sophisticated and elegant when they are combined with right colours. I always wear them with basic colours of black and white as they are safe, but sometimes I wear gold with purple and red too for a change.

Just remember, although it is so fun to accessorise your medoll with gold... please don't make her suffocated with too much accesories as they say, too much of anything can make you sick.

4. Hats

1. Killah | 2.4 -  Bonjour Bizou | 3. Folk | 5. Tingeling | 6.8 - Alice&Olivia's | 7. Mortal Kiss

I always love the addition of hat in one's outfit, they never seem to be out of date. They are simple and very easy to pull off, with the right styling it can make statements and draw attention. Of course in every fashionista's closet there should be different type of hats based on occasion, but at least for me I think there should be one specific hat for street styles. It could be a beanie, a bowler hat, or even a simple cap.

My favourite hat will always be the number 2, you can see I wear that hat a lot. The hat is kinda hipster-ish, and as the word hipster means you're gonna be cool, indeed it is gonna make you look cool.

5. Headbands
1.2.3.10.11 - D-Signed Bows | 4. Killah | 5. Archive | 6. Fallen Angel | 7. 8 - Voile | 9.14 - Anna Sui's | 12. Antidote | 13. Beastly

Oh god words can't even describe how I really really love headbands, especially those crazy headbows. Call me fake or super trying to be cute or whatevs, I just don't care, but seriously, how on earth people can not fall in love with those adorable pieces of headbows?? They are fun, they are cute, and the most important thing is; they are very me. I know for some people it might be hard to accept this, but style goes with your personality. As long as it is very you and it makes you happy, don't even bother to think about what other people may think as their opinions don't matter anyway, but your happiness is.

So with that I think some of you might get quite the idea of how accessories play a very crucial role in one's outfit. You can notice in future upon visiting me in my suite or in this blog that I will wear these kinda accessories much often. Although sometimes I do like to change my style than usual, I still stick some part of me inside the new look so that I am not that 360 degree change.

Like I said, just stay true to yourself and everything will come along easily.

Till next post, dollies.

Pray for Gaza

I don't know how to formulate this, heck I didnt even know where and how to begin with.

I just really hate when there is war, as it affects not only to those who are totally wrong, but also to those who are innocent. I know some of you have heard about Palestine issue, and although it's been written all over the world about this issue; which you expect a war between religions, trust me it is not.

What can I say is that it is maybe a war of religions, but for me it is not. It is an humanitarian issue where thousands of innocent people have died, and among them are somebody's mother, father, brother or sister.  Recently Israel had attacked Gaza (the only Palestinian district left) on the night of new year in Islamic calendar, can you imagine how horrible was that?

People celebrates new year with fireworks and smile, and they celebrate new year with bombs and guns.

I'm not trying to defend anyone here, it is just some people tend to neglect this kind of war as they think it is a war between religion.

That's why I designed this t-shirt for people to be much aware with this situation, to find and seek the truth, and spread the awareness so somehow people around the globe will know about this story...and if possible stop all the killings. My intention is solely for just wanting the people around the world to be aware of what is happening now among us humans.

You can get this t-shirt for free by asking me so in my guestbook, and let wear them in support of those who are involved in this war. Let's show our support, people.

Let's pray for Gaza.

Lets double the animals

I always love prints, especially the ones that involve feline's, like leopard prints or tiger stripes. There is something about these animals-printed garments that for me is so mesmerising! So when I saw this pants with beautiful leopard prints in Dolce & Gabbana Tribute Store, (and they are in pink too!) I just knew that I've got to have it in my wardrobe.

So to style it, I just knew that I have to go crazy on this one, and indeed I was! Like seriously, who wear so many animals prints in one outfit? You can see there's a roaring tiger, leopard prints, claw bracelet and octopus bracelet worn as brooch...and the shoes are also in prints, oh god, so many prints and animals-inspired items! Even the cat is rolling her eyes seeing me, lol.

But you know, they say if you feel you're doing it right, just go with it. No need to feel very down and upset with who you are, accepting yourself is much more important than accepting what others think of you.

So speaking of that, it really did turn out fabulous. Very very fabulous in fact *flips hair*. It's probably one of my favourite outfits too, so yay very happy with this one. Sometimes being a lil bit crazy is not really a bad thing, no?

I'm wearing:
Torn net top from Evil Panda & Hot Buy Roar Tee from It Girls
Leopard Pants - Dolce & Gabbana Tribute Store
Shoes - Jean Paul Gaultier Tribute Store
Clutch - LE
Accessories: Claw (Fallen Angel) & Octopus bracelet (Viole)

ps - Again, forgive me for still wearing the same 'ol black hat, what can I do, it's one of my favourite pieces, it's simple yet adds so much to one's outfit.

Girls just wanna look cute

Forgive me for still not donning winter-themed outfits, I am not feeling all winter-y these days. For today look I chose to wear this recently bought skirt from Harrods with vision of cute Parisian style. Not so in love with the LE sling purse though at first when I saw it's out on sale in Starplaza, I remember I was gambling with myself whether to buy it or not, but by the way it looks on my doll today, I can say that it was indeed a lucky gamble :)

I'm wearing:
Top and cute clip - Decades
Skirt - Junior Gaultier, Harrods
Sling purse - LE
Shoes - Stardoll and The City
Socks - Anna Sui Tribute Store
Scarf - Pretty In love
Belt- Archive

What I like the most of this outfit is the cute little hairclip! It is so cute and although it is a simple thing, it adds more cuteness to the whole outfit, don't ya agree?

The hardest one for me is always the makeup. I am just so bad at it in Stardoll, even to choose a perfect lipstick to match an outfit is a challenge for me! At least it looks good in here.

One thing that still bugs me is whether to wear it with outer or off outer, like a jacket for example. I have tried donning her with a jacket, and it looks good too!

With jacket

For the time being I let her without a jacket, but still...

What say you? Which look do you prefer?

A bit of Neon doesnt kill you

Decided to be a bit experimental on colours today. The main focus are the neon colours of emerald green and fushia pink; both portrayed on top and accessories, and what else better to showcase them than contrasting them with darker tone outfit? Well I think the attempt looks a bit laughable, but still interesting in my kind of way. What do you think?

Jacket - Frankie Morello's Tribute Store
Top - Hot Buys' Rio
Pants - Archive
Shoes - Hot Buys' Original Future
Accessories - Handbag (LE), Body Chain (Rio), Earrings (Dior tribute store)

Warm in Autumn

Okay now I'm officially furious about the loss of the whole bunches of pictures in my previous posts, it's making me very sad like seriously now T_T. Since there's nothing I can do to retrieve them, I have deleted some of the posts since it pains me to see them here in my blog without pictures in it :(

So moving on, today I am feeling a bit autumn-y. Although here in my place it's already snowing, the temperature outside is not really that harsh and this kinda outfit can still overcome the chilly temperature outside. I am so in love with this brown shorts from the new Harrods' store, it's the only piece that I bought (well for now) from the Rykiel's Enfant store..along with other not-so-much things from other stores offered in Harrods. Well maybe I'll be doing some review of the stores in future being if I have time, well fingers crossed for that, but for now I am only featuring them here from time to time as it is much easier and less time-consuming that way.

It has been such a long time since the last time I wore this gorgeous LE Faux Fur scarf, it made my medoll looks super comfy and warm, which I know she is (lol)...and I also paired her with these pretty DKNY platforms that match the color coordination of the day, which is obviously brown. To add the look, I wore this must have hat from Bonjour Bizou and few bags as accessories.

Top - Hot Buy Rio
Blazer - 1st Season MSW store
Weave Brown Shorts - Rykiel Enfant
Faux Fur scarf - LE
Shoes - DKNY
Accesories -
- Moschino inspired belt (Bonjour Bizou)
- Vintage Messenger bag - Decades
- Earrings - Jean Paul Gaultier tribute store
- Black bag - DVF Tribute Store

Err 'Hi' I guess?

Oh god it's been such a long time since the last time i've been here. Cant blame me though, sometimes I feel like I have outgrown myself from Stardoll. Well it's a normal thing for a typical stardoll user, one day you feel like "what the hell am I doing here" and the next day you're still there in Stardoll playing dressups with your doll. It was nothing to worry about and it's so typical, that's why I didn't think about it so much.

Anyway, I noticed that pictures that I previously captured and posted in this blog have been disappeared. It may be my faults, well it's such a long story to be told, let's just skipped that part shall we?

So here what I wore the other days, I am feeling like posting these two outfits here for no specific reason.

Feel free to be inspired!

The Art of Layering, Mermaid

I just love layering things to create a fantastic masterpiece like this. There is one club that I joined in where we have theme each week, and it was Hollywood Glam theme, hence came the idea for the dress. The idea behind it is my medoll is a Hollywood starlet who is sorta doing some haute couture photoshoot for a magazine's cover. There are not so many Mermaid dresses on Stardoll, and I just have to recreate one for it, with the touch of couture essence on it. Well I don't really like to brag, but don't you just love it?

Nicholas Kirkwood Summer Tribute Store Review

Hello dollies.

So sorry for my delay of reviewing things, I am pretty busy with finals and such recently before I am finally off for summer. I know, I know, it's totally sucks when your friends are already enjoying the sun while I am still stuck here with exams :( Anyway to cut things short and straight to the point, new tribute store opened up this time, and it's a tribute store based on the famous shoes designer, Nicholas Kirkwood. Personally, I was quite surprised to see Stardoll's trying to open up a shoes store, I mean...they are shoes, how they're gonna do that? I was pretty excited really, and it's quite creative of them to actually think about it, the Stardoll team surely had really nice thinking over this one.

Anyhoo, as Nicholas Kirkwood is a SHOES designer, I never expected of them to have some clothes in it, but again, surprisingly, together with the shoes there are some pretty nice clothes and accessories. Compared to Anna Sui's, I gotta say this one is graphically well made. It reminds me of the latest (UPDATE:not anymore) Antidote store, which I think was so amazing with quirky items and bright colourings.

Well let's start with my choices for the clothes, which I managed to grab a few.

1. Glass Spikes Necklace - 5sd
2. Studs Yellow Jacket - 25sd
3. Dazzle Sheen Top - 15sd
4. Lion Face Top - 14sd
5. Spike Heart Shades - 6sd

I just love my Top 3 items, although I know they are pretty generic. There is one similar necklace sold in starcoins called Tadpole Galaxy Necklace in Fallen Angel store, the sheen top reminds me of the top from 7th LE collection, and I am pretty sure I saw the Studded Jacket somewhere that I couldn't recall. But still, I bought them because I think these items are very "me", and also it's because I dont own any of the items I mentioned before (except for the galaxy necklace) :(

Now let's get onto the shoes, which are the main focus of the whole store. Surprise surprise, for the one who is not a shoe-person, I absolutely love them! I am very glad with Stardoll, Nicholas Kirkwood is an amazing shoes designer and gladly, it shows. Stardoll has really made such an amazing job in recreating those shoes from RL version. The shoes maybe are not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally liked it. They are quite edgy, and considering that is what I am trying to do with my medoll lately, I just knew that I have to snap them up.

some shoes that I snapped up first :)
And some real life pictures of them.

So what do you guys think of the store? I know my style maybe not suits everyone, but I know there must be something that you like, right? So what is your favourite item this time?

13/06/2012 - Chanel Pink Infusion

I was styled by this creative user named .copycat, and she gave me this pink infusion style, which i totally adore!

Captured from her career book :)

So here's how I translated her work on my medoll with a bit changes here and there due to money issue :P

Not so much similar is it, but I just saving my money a bit and use what I have. So anyway, what do you think?

Anna Sui's Stardoll Summer Tribute - My Review

The new Summer Tribute is finally here, and this time its Anna Sui's.

From what I observed, people don't really like much this collection. They were made in such hurry, the graphics were terrible and they were quite childish. As for me, once the store was out, I was like quite disappointed. This store is like Gucci 2.0 for me, some of the items are nice, but the others failed to impress me. But still, I am digging on some of the items which I think are quite nice.

So here's my top 5 must have items from this collection.

1. Thigh High Butterflies - 10sd
2. Young Bride Dress - 23sd
3. Plush Collar - 9sd
4. Any accessories, they are so many to choose from :)
5. Black Cherries Top - 11sd

Overall, after trying some items in starplaza, I gotta say I love the accessories more than the dresses. The stockings and hair pieces are so pretty, I love all the turbans and headpieces, not to mention the socks and the butterfly thigh, ah-mazing!! And I gotta salute Stardoll too for sticking to the original designs, as you can see some of the items are really similar with real-life version, they are some which Stardoll recoloured (which I absolutely hate when they did that), but it didn't deviate much from the real life versions. But still, I just wish that they put a lil' bit more effort in the graphics, otherwise this could be a great collection.

Example of me wearing Anna Sui's :)
So dollies, my advice, just spend your Stardollar wisely on this collection. I don't think I gonna spend much on this one, except for maybe the accessories and some summer-y dresses.

ps - I firstly fell in love with the Dark Gold Heels, but since they were duplicate of them in Fallen Angels with half price, I remove it instantly from my list. And oh, not to forget I love love love the decorations! The swinging stars and moon, the lights, they are great choices to create a showroom in your suite.

Chanel 2012 Summer Tribute - Review

Quoted from USD, "Each Tribute Season starts with Chanel".

As we all know, Stardoll opens up new tribute stores each summer, and for this year the season starts off with Chanel like always. I am personally pretty satisfied with this store, the items were graphically well-made, they didn't change much from the actual items and I can say this store has gotten many positive feedbacks from Stardoll users. I am not gonna talk about the prices because I think they were fairly priced, and compared to the disappointing last season's Chanel tribute, I love this one more.

As you can see, they are so many fabulous items you can grab from the store, it varies according to what your style is, but for me, these are my Top 5 items that I like from the store. Well I actually love the whole collection really, except maybe for the shoes, but I choose these five items in my Top 5 because they are pretty multifunctional and can be worn in various styles.

From descending orders,

3. Cloud Lined Vest - 17sd
4. Coco Jacket - 19sd
5. Pink Pearl Clutch - 12sd

*click the links for real-life versions.

Last but not least, I have captured few medolls wearing Chanel for some inspirations, I love doing this, because I am inspired by a lot of people around Stardoll and hopefully by seeing this, you will get inspired.

Laurenboy
copycat.

And by getting inspired I don't mean copying, ha.

Till the next tribute dollies, and happy channeling your inner Chanel, tata.

p/s - Here how is how I rocked the new Chanel, inspired by Chanel Pre-Fall 2012. And oh, I never knew this one (click) in real life looks so same.

Me In the Web #1

Thanks to Manny, or known as Aurelieke92 on Stardoll, I was captured on Captured segment in Underneath Stardoll! To be honest, it is one of my favourite outfit ever, but I completely forgot to take the picture of it to publish it here, so thanks Manny for taking the picture for me!

So here's the outfit, and for the rest of it you can read it by clicking this link (here).

Anyhoo, I read through all the comments made for me, and surprise surprise, I can't satisfy everyone/

Bonjour Bizou Flower Girl Headband

I just love this Flower Girl Headband from Bonjour Bizou, in which I incorporated them in my current outfits. It has this spring-feminine touch, and it almost goes well with everything! Plus it costs only 36 starcoins, which is totally affordable!

Here are some outfits I wore this headband with.

01/05/2012 - Tress Up

Hello dollies!

To my liking Stardoll has released an AH-MAH-ZING store called Tress Up, its a beauty store which sells hairstyle, and I love it to the max! To be honest I have thought about this idea not so long time ago, I want to write to stardoll and give them some suggestions about this, but somehow I didn't do it because I am such a lazy person. And when the store came out, I was soooo excited because never did I know they had thought about it too! Yay!

I personally love all the hairstyles, except for the Maylen's and Anna's one, they are just so...uhm weird for my taste. Stardoll has incorporated the currently famous dip-dye look into it (which I don't really much a fan, sorry), and we can't choose to not have that dip-dye look on our medoll or choose what dye to dip the hair, which are the cons for this store. Nevertheless, in general they did such an amazing job (wow it feels so weird typing that) with the store, there are so many amazing hairstyles especially the Tijana one (oooh my personal favourite), and they also has two hairstyles in starcoins.

Finally to end my post, here's me with one of the hairstyles offered by the store, which is of course the one that is sold in starcoins lol cuz I'm soo broke with my stardollars right now. Hopefully no one will say I'm such an attention seeker by publishing myself here, although I don't really care to be called one haha. *just kidding* :3

Anyhoo tata, till next time dollies!
