Giambatista Valli Tribute 2013 - Review

The second Tribute this summer came from the house of Giambatista Valli, and surprise surprise, it was a good one :)

I really like this Tribute a lot,  the items are in good graphic quality and the selection of stuffs for the collection is really something. They are more couture-like; which include lots of dresses, with few accessible ready-to-wear items like a branded-tee and two gorgeous pants, as well as accessories which is not much. The pricings are quite affordable too, well at least for me. I think for a dress to be priced at that amount is reasonable, especially with the satisfying graphic quality, plus not to mention they are Tribute, of course they are tad pricey than regular things.

Overall in all honesty I think this tribute is definitely far more satisfying than the Chanel's, graphic and quality-wise.

So anyway off with my top five items from the store…which is in fact is very difficult to choose from since I am totally feeling to buy the whole collection :P

So here's my Top 5 items from this collection, and they are:

1) Rose Couture Trousers - 24 sd
2) Silver Couture Trousers - 24 sd
3) Sheer Peach Gown - 34 sd
4) Sequin Valli Gown - 32 sd
5) Canary Couture Heels - 18 sd

So first off I really love those two pants! I know that based on what I saw, people around Stardoll would rather choose to have the silver one over pink, but with me, im all over the pink. My instinct immediately picked the pink one when I saw them for the first time. I know that its quite impractical, the colour may not be universal and yes I admit that the silver one is much easier to style..but I chose the pink trousers because it's more me. You know what, when you like something, you should really stand up for it. At the end of the day, its not about what you are wearing, but how you feel inside about the things you're wearing. Anyway I don't think it's really hard to pull off, no? [check the pic below on how I styled them], and if they do..well I love challenges!

I have no comment for the grey one since it's of course..amazing, saw lots of dollies wearing them so I rightly think people love that one the most from the collection, right?

So for the dresses, I picked these two because they are so beautifully made! The first dress is so pretty, the colour palette of the dress is perfect, it amplifies the femininity of an user wearing that, and there's something delicate and demure with this dress that I can't explain.

The second dress is everyone's favourite from what I can conclude. The thing about this dress is its so versatile, you can go in the direction of classic-vintage style or in slightly dark, edgier stylings like how I styled the dress below.

Last but not least are the canary heels. Its so not often for us to have this amazing canary colour in our shoes department, and with good cut and graphically well-made heels, what else do you want? You just knew that you gotta have it in your closet when you saw them :)

So overall, this is definitely a great store and I really give high grade for it. Maybe for some they might think it lacks in variability part due to its more couture-like collection, but I do believe one's will be tempted to own at least a dress from the collection in their closet because they are very graphically inviting...and with creativity and proper stylings, it shouldn't be a problem, no?

So lastly, like always, please feast your eyes with the stylings that I did with the items from the store. Feel free to be inspired, and please do click for bigger images :)

Till next time, dollies.

Chanel Tribute 2013 - Review

The tribute season of the year starts with Chanel as usual...and boy I must say, it was quite a mediocre collection. To be honest, I have never been a fan of Chanel Tribute since season two, and this one is no exception too. The fact that they changed the highly-anticipated lego clutches into tote bags is beyond unacceptable, it instantly killed my mood and i am pretty much disappointed. What a buzzkiller :(

However, after cooling down a bit and reviewing the collection back, it wasn't really that bad. They are variety of items instead of one particular theme, there are each for every one of us, they look minimalistically clean, and the items are great to style as well. Plus, there are handful of jewellery pieces to choose from too, which I totally love as they did not differ much from the real collection.

The shoes and bags department is quite a disappointment from the collection. I only love the pearl flats and that's it, as the rest of the shoes seem cheap. As for the bags, the so-called "Lego totes" are totally out, and the rest are only meh. The prices for the bags are quite hefty too, so I put the bags in my KIV list, in case I have extra sd to spend.

So like usual, these are my Top 5 items that I like from the store, sans jewelleries obviously as I love them all haha.

1. Duchess Bolero - 25sd
2. Classic Chanel Tribute Blouse - 20sd
3. Beaded Origami Top - 18sd
4. Tahitian Pearl Dress - 40sd
5. Tweed Coco Dress - 40sd

Honourable mentions: Pearl Drop Dress, Origami Chiffon Dress, Pearl Chanel Flats

So here are how I styled them. I tried to make them as minimal as possible.

So in conclusion, I think the collection was okay, with few strong misses, especially with the whole Lego clutches situation. Other than that, I think the collection was fine, there is something for each one of us.

So how about you?

Till the next tribute, later XOXO.

A little update

I feel sinful for abandoning this blog for so long, but there's nothing much I could do...we are living in both virtual and real worlds and we just have to admit that the real one is the one to care more. I am still around, but like other users who are growing up into much busier life, I am rarely online these days. Sometimes I logged in just to collect the HBs weekly, checking few stuffs then easily log out, and it's pretty much like that all the time these days.

Stardoll is changing so much and I am changing too. Those feelings that I had in Stardoll like the anticipation of new things in Stardoll like LE and Antidote is disappearing, good friends were gone..and heck I even missed the whole Antidote collection and I dont feel anything!

I believe that this is the moment of me detaching myself slowly from the site..
However to consider myself to be forever gone from Stardoll...well maybe not.
It's too drastic.

Anyway...moving on to my main topic, I just need to announce few things;

Firstly this blog will undergo major construction (YAYYY), as I just received the banner that I requested from the lovely Kirsten (sparklewand12)...and hopefully by this week the whole site will be revamped into new one. I can't promise it would come out good or not since i am not really good in managing these whole blog design thingy..but let's keep our fingers crossed shall we?

Secondly, I'd prouldy announce our newest addition to the family, its the amazing tumblr-based stardoll blog The Best Bargee Bar None, owned by the gorgeous miloshiki. I am so in love with her writings as it seems soo genuine, and she's quite a stylist too!

Please do click on the images to check her amazing tumblr out!

Lastly, here are my outfit from last week's HB's weekly. I am so in love with this printed piece despite of many have said that the prints are ugly and all. I love the prints, it's my favourite HB's weekly item of the week! Well people have different view on things, and there's nothing wrong with it.

So here my takes on it, I was trying to get quite an exotic vibe with it, what do you think?

Till then, xoxo.

Good news: Media Partner 2

I am soo happy to inform that we have a new media partner!

The newest addition to our little family is owned by the cutesy Ravessa, and please click the picture above to go to her blog. I am so honoured to be affiliated with Abstractions, we have this thing in common where we write our heart out and I can see the blog has its own potential to be great.

Although she is new in this, (and so do me hehe) somehow the blog is interesting and artistically inspiring...and it makes me so pumped up to be active in posting stuffs so that I don't dissapoint my fellow media partners :D

So dollies, please check her blog out and do follow it. Don't forget to follow mine too haha :P

Weekly Hotbuys

I was pretty much disappointed with the most recent weekly Hotbuys, and it is simply because I was so in love with previous ones so much (well maybe except for some that kinda missed, like this one).

Previous Hotbuys were kinda good, so i was expecting for great stuffs and it disappoints me so much when I saw this week's ones. I know they were inspired by pretty big event like Coachella, but somehow it didn't interest me to buy any of them. It would be so much better if it was a crop top and skirt as seen as the display. Well at least they were really not that bad..

Anyway...since I have not posted any outfits from of weekly Hotbuys, I thought it would be nice if I posted few looks of how I wear those stuffs from previous hotbuys. These are mostly the ones of my favourite, so of course I just show only a couple, so feel free to have some inspiration with it :)

Hot Buys Mint Ruffle Jumpsuit

Hot Buys Ruffle Sleeve Dress

Hot Buys Daisy Satin Kimono + Satin Box Purse

 Hot Buys Blue Brocade Coat

Hot Buys Resort13 Dress + Pastel Paris Hair

Hot Buys Mirror Skirt

Don't forget to click on each of the photos for better resolution. Hopefully this week's Hotbuys weekly will be much better! Till next post dollies, xoxo!

16th LE Review - Grungy

For some strange reasons, somehow I didn't get any notification from my favourite blog about LE is coming. I was so frustrated, I have saved some extra stardollars specifically for LE, yet the day it was out I wasn't at home and kinda missed the whole thing.

The only things I managed to grab were the Pleather Drape Blazer (item no.4) and Mint Iridescent Dress (item no.3), as well as a bracelet that goes into your Beauty Parlor. I seriously want those gold chain accessories and quilted skirt soo badd, they were definitely amazing!

As for the collection, I was like 50-50 with it. It was simply just an okay for me, it was definitely grungier with the accessories were the main highlight as well as few killer items, but as a whole, I still think it was a whole lot of mess. Bunches of clothes were very tacky, colours like bright orange and neon pink and purple were definitely there, and not to mention that they were very poorly made. I really don't get it why simple clothes like those shirts with LE signs were sold out very rapidly, I just think they were just typical shirts with pricey tags...yet people still bought those. Like seriously..hmm.

Anyway here are my Top 5 items which I like for this collection:

1. Accessories! - What's not to love about chains? In gold? OMG A+++
2. Quilted Flounce Skirt - This skirt is beyond amazing! Sadly they were sold out :(
3. Mint Iridescent Dress - As much as I hate the price tag, this was very beautiful. And well-made too.
4. Pleather Drape Jacket - Major love!
5. Gold Trim Moto Jacket - Saw lotsa dollies rockin' this one out, although it was not my favourite.

Honorable mentions - Patchwork Jeans, Mint Iredescent Pants, and those hot shortpants!

So..last but not least, here I present you how I rock my new LE! I will update this post later on how I wear my Mint Iridescent Dress :)

Till next post, dollies. XOXO

Review - Antidote 2013

The newest collection of Antidote was released few days ago, and I gotta say...it is the maybe the best Antidote collection ever was released by Stardoll..at least for me. I usually dont buy this much when it comes to Antidote because the items were mostly tacky and cheap-ishly looking, but it was an exception for this one.

To my liking, most of the items were quite well designed, the colour chosen is not that tacky, and the whole collection was pretty much cohesive. My only critique with this collection is they still injected childish colour in the collection; like in this case its the hot pink, which make it is kinda difficult to match those things up with other items. That is why my dear dollies, it is very crucial to find an investment piece that can be worn in various type of outfits when it comes to buying expensive items, or else you might end up buying unnecessary things that can only be worn once or twice in the same stylings.

Anyway, overall i must say it's a very nice improvement from Stardoll. I wish they do better in the next LE collection. So here are the items which I bought, labeled with my favourite top 5 items from the collection.

So my Top 5 are :-
1 - Silver Mirrored Bustier
2 - Silver Studded Jacket
3 - Striped Faux Fur Coat
4 - Coco PVC Hat
5 - Houndstooth High Waisted Pants

I really love those studded jacket and bustier, the minute I saw them I just knew they will be sold off anytime soon. They reminded me of the early collection of LE, and i'm very confident to say that they will possibly become rare items in future.

I actually bought the striped faux fur in the very last minute when I saw quite a lot of stardollians donning them, and with my affection to big furry jacket, I just have to have it in my closet. What I like about it is the colour is so universal, it can be easily matched up with other colours without very much difficulties.

Like always, I am a huge fan of accessories, so I bought up almost everything that I like except for the Antifashion necklace and shiny silver high heels, which were already sold off. I actually did not want to buy that enormous hula hoop's purse, but knowing that it was inspired by Chanel...oh well what can I do about it?

So what do you think about this collection? Yay or nay?

DIY Dolce & Gabbana Jewelleries

Who knows that designing your own jewelleries in Stardesign section is so much fun?

I always love doing DIY things in real life, and it is always in my mind to do the same things in our little Stardoll world. I actually hate designing things in Stardoll as I am not good at it, the end results would be like all choppy and messy, and not to mention it requires stardollars too to buy those items off and it will be like so wasting money to spend on choppy and bad products..so no no, I usually just stay away from designing and prefer to buy and spend my money on premade stuffs in starplaza instead.

However just recently, thanks to Stardoll Academy's task that require us to create jewellery, somehow im all pumped up so sudden to do those things, and to my likings, the end products that I created ended up to be very satisfying!

I was very much inspired by these gorgeous earrings from Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012, they are the infamous pasta earrings and I absolutely adore it!

So the end result....well it's not pasta-ly perfect, but..

TADAA! And what is better to wear this with D&G outfit itself, right?

I am totally trying so hard to relive the Dolce & Gabbana moment, eyh?

Anyway I also created another sets from Fall 2012, but I haven't style them yet. They are the statements Cameo Earrings from Fall 2012, if only I could own a pair in real life T_T

And also recently I also designed these..and maybe in future there will be more and more from another designers as well.

Well haha, no one can stop me when the creative juice is flowing. At times I couldn't believe myself that I am able to create all of these! Well they say nothing can beat the burning passion of doing something that you love, right?

So that's it you guys, see you in next post. I'm gonna update on new Antidote store.

Till then, please be inspired and have a fun week!
Later xoxo

Stylings on DIY's Celine

Received this gift from the amazing Kirsten (sparklewand12) of The Stardoll Lookbook, and words can’t even describe how exciting am I to style this garment up with my touch. What a great idea, it’s like a mini test on styling skills and I had so much fun playing dress up with it! For those who interested to join in, just click here (link) and follow the instructions :)

So on to the stylings shall we?

Well I have made pretty much few outfits with it, I love the fact that it is transparent, meaning that it can be layered up with coloured material to make it look coloured, but for the stylings that I chose were mainly focused on white and black as the colours are so Celine :P

First off I chose to wear this in the style of cutesy angelic vibe, kinda wedding-like with the main focus of white (which is Kirsten’s fav colour btw) and silver. As you can see the outfit was very similar to the one which I posted earlier (click), and it is because I was playing around with the idea of creating a dress from a shirt before coming up with those dresses. The idea was the same but they are indeed two different dresses though hehe :)

For the second outfit, I kinda tried to make it looks quite Chanel-y and preppy. I love layering things, and here you can see I layered up the shirt with black singlet beneath it to create a "vest" effect, and the combination of Young Hollywood's mini skirt and Dior's zebra skirt definitely have created such a wonderful effect.

And lastly the edgy look which I adoree so much as what I envisioned in my mind came out so well. Love the puffy sleeves and the pleated skirt effects, the spikes necklace and the glasses complimented the outfit so well and you can never go wrong with the studded bracelet :)

So overall which look do you like? And how did I perform on the stylings?
I hope that I did well, and I would very much appreciate it if you leave some comments :)
So till the next post, dollies...I'm in the great mood recently (maybe due to the holidays) so I think theres gonna be more posts in the future.

So have a good day ahead, dolls. xoxo
