Review - Antidote 2013

The newest collection of Antidote was released few days ago, and I gotta say...it is the maybe the best Antidote collection ever was released by Stardoll..at least for me. I usually dont buy this much when it comes to Antidote because the items were mostly tacky and cheap-ishly looking, but it was an exception for this one.

To my liking, most of the items were quite well designed, the colour chosen is not that tacky, and the whole collection was pretty much cohesive. My only critique with this collection is they still injected childish colour in the collection; like in this case its the hot pink, which make it is kinda difficult to match those things up with other items. That is why my dear dollies, it is very crucial to find an investment piece that can be worn in various type of outfits when it comes to buying expensive items, or else you might end up buying unnecessary things that can only be worn once or twice in the same stylings.

Anyway, overall i must say it's a very nice improvement from Stardoll. I wish they do better in the next LE collection. So here are the items which I bought, labeled with my favourite top 5 items from the collection.

So my Top 5 are :-
1 - Silver Mirrored Bustier
2 - Silver Studded Jacket
3 - Striped Faux Fur Coat
4 - Coco PVC Hat
5 - Houndstooth High Waisted Pants

I really love those studded jacket and bustier, the minute I saw them I just knew they will be sold off anytime soon. They reminded me of the early collection of LE, and i'm very confident to say that they will possibly become rare items in future.

I actually bought the striped faux fur in the very last minute when I saw quite a lot of stardollians donning them, and with my affection to big furry jacket, I just have to have it in my closet. What I like about it is the colour is so universal, it can be easily matched up with other colours without very much difficulties.

Like always, I am a huge fan of accessories, so I bought up almost everything that I like except for the Antifashion necklace and shiny silver high heels, which were already sold off. I actually did not want to buy that enormous hula hoop's purse, but knowing that it was inspired by Chanel...oh well what can I do about it?

So what do you think about this collection? Yay or nay?

DIY Dolce & Gabbana Jewelleries

Who knows that designing your own jewelleries in Stardesign section is so much fun?

I always love doing DIY things in real life, and it is always in my mind to do the same things in our little Stardoll world. I actually hate designing things in Stardoll as I am not good at it, the end results would be like all choppy and messy, and not to mention it requires stardollars too to buy those items off and it will be like so wasting money to spend on choppy and bad products..so no no, I usually just stay away from designing and prefer to buy and spend my money on premade stuffs in starplaza instead.

However just recently, thanks to Stardoll Academy's task that require us to create jewellery, somehow im all pumped up so sudden to do those things, and to my likings, the end products that I created ended up to be very satisfying!

I was very much inspired by these gorgeous earrings from Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012, they are the infamous pasta earrings and I absolutely adore it!

So the end result....well it's not pasta-ly perfect, but..

TADAA! And what is better to wear this with D&G outfit itself, right?

I am totally trying so hard to relive the Dolce & Gabbana moment, eyh?

Anyway I also created another sets from Fall 2012, but I haven't style them yet. They are the statements Cameo Earrings from Fall 2012, if only I could own a pair in real life T_T

And also recently I also designed these..and maybe in future there will be more and more from another designers as well.

Well haha, no one can stop me when the creative juice is flowing. At times I couldn't believe myself that I am able to create all of these! Well they say nothing can beat the burning passion of doing something that you love, right?

So that's it you guys, see you in next post. I'm gonna update on new Antidote store.

Till then, please be inspired and have a fun week!
Later xoxo

Stylings on DIY's Celine

Received this gift from the amazing Kirsten (sparklewand12) of The Stardoll Lookbook, and words can’t even describe how exciting am I to style this garment up with my touch. What a great idea, it’s like a mini test on styling skills and I had so much fun playing dress up with it! For those who interested to join in, just click here (link) and follow the instructions :)

So on to the stylings shall we?

Well I have made pretty much few outfits with it, I love the fact that it is transparent, meaning that it can be layered up with coloured material to make it look coloured, but for the stylings that I chose were mainly focused on white and black as the colours are so Celine :P

First off I chose to wear this in the style of cutesy angelic vibe, kinda wedding-like with the main focus of white (which is Kirsten’s fav colour btw) and silver. As you can see the outfit was very similar to the one which I posted earlier (click), and it is because I was playing around with the idea of creating a dress from a shirt before coming up with those dresses. The idea was the same but they are indeed two different dresses though hehe :)

For the second outfit, I kinda tried to make it looks quite Chanel-y and preppy. I love layering things, and here you can see I layered up the shirt with black singlet beneath it to create a "vest" effect, and the combination of Young Hollywood's mini skirt and Dior's zebra skirt definitely have created such a wonderful effect.

And lastly the edgy look which I adoree so much as what I envisioned in my mind came out so well. Love the puffy sleeves and the pleated skirt effects, the spikes necklace and the glasses complimented the outfit so well and you can never go wrong with the studded bracelet :)

So overall which look do you like? And how did I perform on the stylings?
I hope that I did well, and I would very much appreciate it if you leave some comments :)
So till the next post, dollies...I'm in the great mood recently (maybe due to the holidays) so I think theres gonna be more posts in the future.

So have a good day ahead, dolls. xoxo

Romantic White

New outfit for today, trying to brush up my layering skills, although it's not really much of layering involved, no? It's a cute, wedding-like dress, although I don't really fond of the makeup and the hairstyle to match the outfit as it was a bit more matured for me. Well that what would happen when you're plain lazy to change 'em in Beauty section. However i'm so glad the effect I wanted on the necklace came out well like I envisioned before.

I'm wearing:
Top - Rio's Soft White Top
Skirts - Special Offer and Pretty in Pink
Accessories :-
White bow - D'signed
Rose belt - LE
Shoes and socks - Anna Sui
PIP's Lace collar + Nicholas Kirkwood's Glass Spikes Necklace

Till later, xoxo

15th LE's Review - Animal Madness

I know that it is no longer a fact that I am totally in love with animal prints, especially the ones that were inspired by feline species, and when the newest collection of LE was out, I was like squeaking in delight and  excitement to see such prints were implied in the whole collection. It was like a box of surprise, exploded with animal prints everywhere once it is opened.

There were on shoes, on clothes, on handbags, on everything! And speaking of boxes, the prints were even on the boxes, how cute! Oh god what's not to love, right?

I know that I shouldn't be "that" excited, but quite interestingly, just a day before, I was imagining of having leopard printed pumps for my medoll, and unexpectedly today not only a pair of pumps were released, there were more than a pair to choose from! That's why I was like in shock of excitement to see those prints everywhere in the collection, it's like Stardoll somehow listen to my fashion prayer, and it is somewhat creepy. Hmm.

Anyway, moving on to the store, like we all knew, the store was out unexpectedly without spoilers and everything. However lucky me, I was ready for LE and managed to save up some stardollars prior to the release of it as I am one of those users who believe in the theory of "LE will be out after Gift-O-Meter" thingy in Stardoll. So when the Gift-O-Meter was out around two weeks ago, I just have this feeling in my gut that LE will be out soon, and indeed it came out true. So dollies, take this tips for future usage, it's very useful next time in predicting when LE's gonna out, although it is not always true :)

pictures' source

For me, the collection can be considered as a good one compared to the previous collection, and although there are few things that I think are not really fulfilling the LE standard, they are at least not so disastrous and still acceptable.

Again, I always wish that Stardoll would keep the original designs like shown in the runway and not destroying the pieces by making one piece into two, or adding whatnots addition to make it somewhat cohesive. The choice of colours are kinda okay this time, eventhough I can still see few annoyingly neons here and there.

So here are the things that I bought from the store, although I might be buying couple things more if they were still in stock, like the Moto Jacket and the Heart Platforms. The numerals in the picture are my Top 5 favourite pieces from the whole collection, and I also had made a bit stylings for the items just for the sake of getting some idea of what kind of outfits I gonna incorporate them with.

So yeah, my Top 5 items are:
1 - Steampunk Platforms - 40$
2 - Leopard Print Mules - 50$
3 - Leopard Crossbody Satchel - 55$
4 - Limited Edition Sweatshirt - 55$
5 -  LE Glitter Denim - 55$

I really love those shoes that I bought from this collection, and although the Steampunk Platforms was not really in many users' cup of tea, I ranked the platforms higher than the others because I just love them! The shoes are unique and one of a kind in Stardoll, and I can predict many edgy users in Stardoll will find great use in them!

So overall, I think this collection is pretty good and decent, although I do still find it a bit hard to incorporate in outfits...well maybe that was just me. Anyway, I think Stardoll is really has been listening to users especially toward the quality of LE as I could see some progression in it, although it's not really that much. But still, its the efforts that count, right?

So, what's better to end this post than by posting LE look, no? So by that, I end this post by showing the photo of me wearing the latest (and hardest to style) LE. In this outfit I am trying to achieve feminine tropical look with tribal infusion, so I matched the top with sarong with complimentary colours and pattern, paired with pink accessories to complete the look.

Till the next post, dollies.

Dramas with the scarf

Finally my most awaited piece from this month Hotbuys collection arrive a couple of days ago. I've gotta say this month's Hotbuys are kinda okay, there are not so many mediocre pieces like couple ones before, but unfortunately the prices are still ridiculously high.

Like other normal, economically wise (and cheap person haha) dollies in Stardoll, I put the drape scarf first in my monthly MUST-BUY-HBs list. There are lot of things I can do with the scarf, it is edgy and I always love drapery things as they have this kinda couture-esque feel to it. And when the scarf was released, I am so satisfied with it. Stardoll did amazing job with the details of the scarf, this piece is absolutely amazing and very well-made.

So here's how I style the scarf, and forgive me for couldn't resist myself from feeling dramatic by being a bit "dark" with maleficent hairdo. What to do, it's just one of those days when I am feeling dramatic on Stardoll.

I'm wearing:
Hot Buys Drape Scarf - Fallen Angel
Long black dress - SATC
Headband - Fallen Angel
Necklace - LE
Accessories - Fallen Angel
Ring - Epiphany

Till next post, dollies.
Later.
